The John Lennon bus drove up to TEDActive, attendees collaborated on a music video to share their ideas for what the world needs now.
Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvZZU_WapH8&feature=player_embedded
Jill Sobule, John Doe, Sara Watkins, Stuart Johnson, Don Was, Dave Way, Krish Sharma and the amazing team on the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus came together to write, perform and produce an original song, on-site during the conference. Aaron Koblin directed the video, and the TEDActive community turned their ideas into illustrations, with a little help from artist Jansen Yee.

Founder of AMOR Association (Aide Mondiale Orphelins Réconfort), supermodel and actress, ambassador of the Pasteur Institute, Tasha de Vasconcelos was born in Beira, in Mozambique. At only 8 years old, Tasha had to face the cruelty of the civil war and revolution, which tore her country apart, followed just five years later by that of Rhodesia – now Zimbabwe – where they had fled. At 13 she and her family moved first to Portugal, and then on to Canada.
With a natural generosity, Tasha has always had a heart for helping and supporting others. She has been to many […]

Showing our emotions is easier when we receive a "good feedback". Nevertheless, we can express ourselves in public. Not looking for a recognition can be of great help. A few days ago, i received a silver medal for more than 20 years of work. This kind of ceremony is not at all what i am fond of in life. That was just a good moment with collegues. We laughed, talked about past years, years to come, the economical crisis, social inequality, future projects, travels. Listening to our feelings, expressing them, being in respect with ourselves, […]

"God uses people when God wants to do what God wants to do in the world. And it has always been this way.
If anyone is in Christ, he/she is a new creation, the old has passed away and behold the new has come. Can you think of anyone that you think might like to hear that??
The old has passed away and, behold, the new has come. It's a story starring you, friends, and I think its time to get up, get out, and play your part."

I got tears, cried, and was highly touched. There are moments when emotions can't stay inside. It is like i remembered being a child. The flow is going out, cleaned my eyes, my vision, my feelings. My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun
Coral is far more red than her lips' red,
If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun,
If hairs be wires, black wires grow upon her head.
I have seen roses damasked, red and white,
But no such roses see I in her cheeks,
And in some perfumes is there more delight,
Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks.
I love to hear her speak: yet well I know
That music hath a far more pleasing sound,
I grant I never saw a goddess go,
My mistress, when […]

Guilt is one of the most destructive emotions in which we can get caught. If we have wronged another, or gone against our own truth, then of course we will feel bad. But to let ourselves be overwhelmed with guilt is to invite a migraine. We end up surrounded by nagging clouds of self-doubt and feelings of worthlessness to the point where we cannot see any of the beauty and joy that life is trying to offer us. We all long to be better people, more loving, more aware, more true to ourselves. But when we punish ourselves for our […]
