It's fun to use emoticons to express oneself emotions! Those textual facial expressions show your responder how you feel in posts, web forums, emails, instant messengers and other forms of communication using computers and mobile devices.

Emoticons, is a blend of the words emotion and icon. Scott Elliott Fahlman from the Carnegie Mellon University posted this original message on the early internet in 1982:

Since then, emoticons have developped written from left to right in western countries, while users from East Asia popularized their own style of emoticons.

Nowadays,  text emoticons are automatically replaced with small corresponding images on forums and instant messenger programs.
